It's now been confirmed that Dorchester test centre will be included in the list of centres subject to strike action by examiners. The dates scheduled for action are 4th - 10th Jan. Not all examiners are members of the PCS union so not all tests may be affected. Currently we don't know which tests are affected and the advice from DVSA is thus:
Wait to hear from DVSA, who may (or may not) contact you to rearrange your test.
Rebook your test (at least 3 days in advance) to avoid the strike dates.
Attend for your test as usual and if it is cancelled you can claim for "out of pocket expenses".
My advice is currently to attend and hope for the best, Dorchester isn't reknowned for it's militancy and the odds are your test will go ahead as planned.
Happy xmas and a great new year to everybody.
